“Setting – up of Library at CGST Commissioner (Appeals) Office, Rajkot”

Libraries are essential in a process of giving officers edge and access to knowledge. Reading broadens ones thinking and vision and helps one and all in keeping abreast with latest development and mentally sharp. It also keep one morally and intellectually sound.
So, in order to impart dynamism and honing intellectual skills of the officers of this office it was decided to setup a library at Room No. 208 of Appeals Commissionerate, as a second project under Swachhta activities during the FY 2021-22.
It would be also worthwhile to share that the entire Library and its requisite accouterments like furniture and fixtures and show cases etc. have been refurbished from existing materials and thereby preserving environment and nature, as far as possible.
The library has been inaugurated by Smt. Seema Arora, Hon’ble Chief Commissioner, CGST and Central Excise Zone, Ahmedabad on 10.03.2022. The Library is now fully functional and ready for the officers of all three Commissionerates i.e. Commissioner (Appeals) and CGST Commissionerate Rajkot and CGST Audit Commissionrate, Rajkot. All officers and their family members can now avail facility of Library which has books on wide array of subjects.
