Appeal Commissionerate in Rajkot has come into existence in the year 2000 for Appeals under Central Excise Act, 1944 and Finance Act, 1994. With effect from 22.06.2017, this Appellate Commissionerate has been functioning under GST Laws as per Notification No. 02/2017-Central Tax dated 29.06.2017 issued by the Board under Section 3 read with Section 5 of Central Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017 and Section 3 of Integrated Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017.
This Appellate Commissionerate has been entrusted with functions of Head of the Department with effect from 01.07.2017.
